Tech, Big 12, announces 2026 Baseball Schedule

The Red Raiders schedule is highlighted by 31 home games and 11 different postseason participants from the 2025 season
LUBBOCK, Texas – In conjunction with a coordinated Big 12 Conference announcement, Texas Tech Baseball unveiled its full 2026 baseball schedule, Wednesday.
Highlighted by 31 home games, the Red Raiders will play host to Oklahoma State, Kansas, Dallas Baptist and UTSA amongst its 31 games at Rip Griffin Park.
In total the Red Raiders will face 11 teams that made postseason play in 2025 and will play three series against Super Regional or College World Series teams as well as the single game against National Semifinalist, Arkansas. Â
After opening the year against Oklahoma, Vanderbilt and Arkansas at the 2026 Shriners College Baseball Showcase, and a mid-week road game at UTRGV (Feb. 17), the Red Raiders will return home for a lengthy 15-game homestand beginning with a four-game, three-day series (Feb. 20-22) against Albany.
Following the weekend set with the Great Danes, the Roadrunners of Cal State Bakersfield will make the trip to Lubbock for a three-game series (Feb. 27-Mar. 1).
The final weekend of non-conference play arrives Mar. 6-8 when the Nittany Lions of Penn State will make their first ever trip to Lubbock for a three-game weekend set.
After a midweek series with 2025 Super Regional participant UTSA (Mar. 10-11), the Red Raiders welcome KU for the start of the 30-game Big 12 slate. The Jayhawks and Red Raiders will meet in Lubbock for the first time since 2023.
With the season-long 15-game homestand in the books, the Red Raiders will hit the road for a four-game road week for the road portion of the home-and-home series with DBU on Mar. 17. The Patriots and Red Raiders have not met since the 2022 season when Tech swept DBU, winning 8-4 in Lubbock and 4-3 in extras in Dallas.
Following the midweek date with DBU, Tech will book it west to Tucson where a three-game clash with 2025 CWS participant Arizona awaits. The Red Raiders took two-of-three games with the Wildcats a season ago in Lubbock.
A midweek date with the Lobos of New Mexico beckons on Mar. 24 before another Big 12 road weekend in Fort Worth, Mat. 27-29.
The annual home game against ACU is next on the schedule for Tech on Mar. 31 before an Easter Weekend, Thursday-through-Saturday series with the Cougars of Houston at Rip Griffin Park on Apr. 2-4.
Next on the docket for Tim Tadlock's crew will be a midweek series in Albuquerque (Apr. 7) against UNM before another home series against 2025 Super Regional participant West Virginia arrives Apr. 10-12.
Another four-game road swing kicks off the fourth week of April, as Tech will head to ACU (Apr. 14) before the first-ever series between Tech and Utah (Apr. 17-19).
A midweek contest against the Texans of Tarleton State (Apr. 21) kicks-off a four-game homestand that includes a weekend series with Oklahoma State (Apr. 24-26) before another midweek contest against OU at Riders Field closes the month of April (Apr. 28).
After the trip to Frisco the Red Raiders will remain on the road for a three-game series in Waco against Baylor (May 1-3) before DBU makes the return trip on May 5.
The final Big 12 home series and final three regular season games of the season for Texas Tech arrive when the Cougars of BYU come to Lubbock (May 7-9), before the Red Raiders close the regular season at Cincinnati (May 14-16).
New in 2026 the Big 12 Championship will be held in Arizona at Surprise Stadium (Spring Training home of the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals) on May 20-23, with Field of 64 kicking off the NCAA Tournament the following weekend (May 29-31) at the 16 host sides.
NCAA Super Regionals will be held Jun. 5-8 with the 2026 College World Series beginning at Charles Schawb Field from Jun. 12-22.
