- The Red Raiders' best finish over the previous 10 trips was second place, done so twice (2019, 2023).
- A Red Raider individual has earned medalist honors once at the Jim West Challenge, as Gabby Barker tied for first at the fall 2015 edition.
- Four of the five Red Raiders in the 2025 Jim West Challenge lineup have previous experience in the event:
- Maja Ambroziak - 2023: T-53rd (+6), 2024: T-18th (-2)
- Cameron Freund - 2023: T-57th (+8)
- Danique Stokmans - 2024: T-46th (+9)
- Lauren Zaretsky - 2023: T-6th (-10), 2024: T-2nd (-9)
- The Jim West Challenge represents the fifth and final team event for Texas Tech in the 2025 fall season. The Red Raiders will return to action in early February in Boca Raton, Fla.
- The Red Raiders roster overall returns six from their 2024-25 squad and welcomed three newcomers in freshmen Pia Eide (Norway) and Amy Squires (Australia), as well as transfer Denisa Vodickova (Wake Forest). Squires and Vodickova are the duo that joins the experienced Texas Tech trio this week, who have previously played in the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah.
More golf, but in Wichita Falls
- While Texas Tech concludes the fall season at the Jim West Challenge, the four additional members of the 2025-26 Women's Golf roster will travel to Wichita Falls Country Club for the 2025 Midwestern Invitational.
- The four players competing, which takes place Monday and Tuesday, include Amy Squires, Klara Hurtova, Pia Eide and Emily Lee.Â
- Additional individuals will be represented from the following teams at the Midwestern Invitational: Odessa College, St. Mary's, Lubbock Christian, McLennan CC, Murray State, Dallas Baptist, New Mexico Junior College, Cameron, Angelo State, UT-Permian Basin, Univ. of Science & Arts of Oklahoma, Montana State, Midwestern State, Texas A&M International, UT-Dallas and UT-Tyler.
