- The Amer Ari Intercollegiate is returning to Mauna Lani's North Course for the second year running.
- The Amer Ari Intercollegiate was started in 1991 and has featured household names from the start. Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, and Matt Kucher have all competed in the tournament which was originally named the "Taylor Made Big Island Intercollegiate Golf Tournament." The event was renamed in 2010 after Mr. Amer Ari, who was a longtime supporter of the competition.
- The 2024 Amer Ari Intercollegiate was rated No. 4 in men's collegiate amateur event that year by the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
- Senior Calum Scott, who is on the Hogan Award Watch List, looks to continue his strong form at the Amer Ari. In 2024, Scott fired a 13-under-par, 203 to finish in the top 20. During the fall season, Scott averaged 72.1 strokes per round.
- Senior Charlie DeLong looks to continue his strong form from the fall. DeLong has consistently finished in the top 25 this season, doing so in each of the three stroke-play events he played in.
- Sophomore Tim Wiedemeyer is making his third start for the Red Raiders this season. Wiedemeyer is coming off a strong first part of the season as he started the fall portion of the season off strong finishing fifth at the Inverness Intercollegiate.
- Sophomore Price Hill is making his fourth career start for Texas Tech. Hill's last time out for the team was at the Inverness Intercollegiate.
- Freshman Connor Graham is looking to continue his impressive inaugural season. His top finish in the fall was T-12th in his first career collegiate tournament at the Inverness Intercollegiate.
- Sophomore Ben Gregg and freshman Sean Keeling will both be in action as well, participating as individuals at the Amer Ari Invitational. Throughout his short collegiate career, Gregg has finished at or below par in every final round he has participated in while Keeling last participated in the Big 12 Match Play where he only lost one of his matches.
- This tournament follows a familiar format for collegiate golf. The best four of the five scores count towards the team's score. 18 holes will be played on each of the three days of the tournament. (Thurs.-Sat., Feb. 6-8) Â
