
No. 22 Tech takes ninth at Amer Ari Intercollegiate

WAIMEA, Hawai'i – Sophomore and Texas native Price Hill led the Red Raiders by tying his career-low in the final round of the Amer Ari Intercollegiate on Saturday.

Hill fired a 7-under-par 65 in the final round, which he last accomplished at the 2024 Amer Ari Intercollegiate during his freshman campaign. Hill's outstanding final round was sparked by a 7-under-par 29 on the back nine, which included an eagle on the Par-5 10th hole followed by birdies on five of the next eight holes. Hill concluded the tournament 10-under-par (206), finishing in a tie for 28th.

Hill, alongside freshman Connor Graham, tied for the best finishes for the Red Raiders this week, both taking 28th place, in a competitive field of 123 golfers. Graham shot an even-par 72 on Saturday, which dropped him into 28th after finishing Friday's action in the Top 10 thanks to a blistering second round of 6-under 66. The field's average score on Saturday was 70.07, which impacted Graham's even-par final round dropping him several spots on the leaderboard.

Senior Charlie DeLong bounced back in Saturday's round by shooting a 4-under-par 68. DeLong's stellar score included six birdies that aided the senior to finish the Amer Ari Invitational in a tie for 35th with a 54-hole score of a 9-under-par 207.

Senior Calum Scott also found his form in the final round by firing a single-round season-best 6-under-par 66. Five birdies and an eagle on the par-5 15th hole highlighted Scott's final round.

Overall, No. 22 Texas Tech clinched a Top 10 finish by coming in ninth place in a stacked field of 20 teams at 43-under-par (821). The Red Raiders finished first in par-5 scoring and total number of eagles recorded (7). Texas Tech finished ahead of No. 12 Georgia Tech by three strokes and behind No. 2 Arizona State by two.

Texas Tech will be back in action, Feb. 17-19, for the Prestige at the PGA WEST-Greg Norman Course in La Quinta, Calif.
