Texas Tech sweeps Big 12 Indoor titles

The women won their first Big 12 track & field title in program history
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech track and field team claimed both the men and women Big 12 Indoor trophies Saturday evening at the Sports Performance Center.
The men's team won their third-straight conference indoor title, while the women won their first – prior to tonight, the Tech women had only won three Big 12 cross country titles (2008-10).

Naomi Krebs was the first champion crowned for Tech Saturday afternoon winning the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.96 (PB). A few minutes later, Malachi Snow won the men's 60m hurdles clocking in at 7.52.
In the 60m sprint, Snow finished second (6.60), while Success Umukoro (7.19) finished second for the women's side. Tamiah Washington took the women's triple jump title bounding a new PB 13.50m (44-3 ½). Over in the high jump, Temitope Adeshina claimed the win clearing 1.90m (6-2 ¾).
Fanny Arendt lowered her school record once again, this time for a fourth-straight meet running 2:02.34.

·     Tonie Ann Forbes finished 3rd in the 60m hurdles (8.11)
·     Antoine Andrews placed 2nd in the 60m hurdles (7.56)
·     Vincent Koech finished 5th in the men's miles (4:11.70)
·     Trey Wilson threw over 19-meters for the first time this season as he finished 2nd with a mark of 19.20m (63-0)
·     Bradford Jennings finished 3rd in the high jump clearing 2.08m (6-9 ¾)
·     Brianna Howard set a new school record in the 200m clocking in 2nd overall at 22.67
