2024 NCAA 400m hurdles First Team All-American Oskar Edlund made his debut winning the event with a new meet record of 50.18 – Edlund was limited during indoor and was competing for the first time this year since January. Meanwhile, Tamiah Washington opened her outdoor season in the long jump with a new PB mark of 6.13m (20-1 ½) taking fourth.
The men's javelin was led by Adam Dubois who had a breakout day securing a new PB for the first time in nearly two years. He placed third in the competition throwing 72.03m (236-4) – a PB of seven feet.
Notables
·     Cole Omlin finished the day scoring 3,684 points as he sits in 10th after day one of the decathlon
·     Antoine Andrews opened his season in the 200m going 20.74 for 6th
