Tech welcomes Oklahoma State, UTSA this week

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Red Raiders welcome the No. 36 Oklahoma State Cowboys for a conference match on Saturday at 2 p.m., then host the UTSA Roadrunners on Sunday at 12 p.m. at the McLeod Tennis Center.
The Red Raiders (9-7, 0-2 Big 12) are led in dual singles wins by Niksa Arsic, Felipe Pagnacco and Thiago Guglieri with nine each. Arsic's wins have all come at the top court, while Pagnacco tallies a 6-2 record at court four. Guglieri is 4-1 at both court five and court six. In dual doubles, the pairing of Arsic and Guglieri lead the Red Raiders with seven wins, all coming at court one. Sebastian Abboud and Tyler Stewart are just behind with a 3-1 dual doubles record, all at line two.
Scouting the Opponents
The No. 36-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys are 14-5 overall and 1-1 in Big 12 play. They have key wins over Utah, Penn, San Diego, Memphis and Middle Tennessee. Their five losses are against Princeton, Yale, Nebraska, Wichita State and BYU. There are five Cowboys who total double-digit dual singles wins this season, led by Haydar Gokpinar with a 14-2 record, with 13 of those coming at line six. Ian Bracks (12), Nicolas Kobelt (12), Alessio Basile (10) and Aaron Williams (10) round of the double-figure wins. In dual doubles, the pairing of Williams and Kobelt lead the team with an 11-2 record, totaling eight of those wins at court two.
The UTSA Roadrunners are 2-10 on the season, getting their two wins over Louisiana, 6-1, and UT Arlington, 7-0. They've played some tough competition this year, dropping matches to Texas A&M, Arizona State, Oklahoma State and SMU. In dual singles, the Roadrunners are led by Oskar Grzegorzewski with five wins, all at court one. In dual doubles, there are four teams who record a win each.
