Red Raiders earn a ranked win over No. 36 OSU

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Red Raiders swept the No. 36-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday afternoon at the McLeod Tennis Center.

Texas Tech (10-7, 1-2 Big 12) took the doubles point to start the sweep over the Cowboys (14-6, 1-2 Big 12). First, the duo Felipe Pagnacco and Thomas Van Den Dooren fell to Ian Bracks and Haydar Gokpinar, 6-2, on court three. Shortly after, the Red Raider duo of Tyler Stewart and Sebastian Abboud took down Derek Pham and Charlie Valentine on court two, 6-4, to tie up doubles play. Clinching the doubles point for the Red Raiders were Niksa Arsic and Thiago Guglieri after winning by a score of 7-5 over Nicolas Kobelt and Aaron Williams at court one.

To keep the momentum going for the Red Raiders, Stewart opened up singles play with a quick 6-1, 6-3 victory over Pham on court two. Following closely behind on court one was Arsic, who dominated Kobelt with a score of 6-2, 6-3. Wrapping up the match was Guglieri on court six after beating Valentine in decisive sets, 6-2, 6-4, to clinch the sweep.
