PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH
Played for coach Chris Rateike at Hill College from 2017-18 … redshirted in 2017 ... started 15 of 17 appearances in 2018, striking out 79 in 63.1 innings pitched … finished with a 3.84 ERA and earned five wins in 2018 … named to the Spring 2017 President’s List … coached by Rob Stramp at Keller High School in Keller, Texas, where he was a member of a team that went 31-10-2 his senior year, 15-3 in District 5-6A and reached the Regional Semifinal of the 2016 state tournament.

Born in Bedford, Texas … son of Jason and Stacey Carter … has a brother, Chandler … plans to major in business management.
