HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Canterbury High School coached by Frank Turco… received All-State honors ... led Canterbury School to back-to-back 3A state championships in 2016 and 2017, hitting .420 with seven home runs as a senior… ranked No. 488 in the Perfect Game National Rankings and was an honorable mention All-American … also played basketball.
PERSONAL: Born Dec. 17 in Fort Myers, Florida… son of Duane and Jill Swanson… brother to Carson and Chandler Swanson … Father played baseball at University of Central Florida ... University Studies major.
- Made three starts and played in 13 games.
- Earned opening day start on Feb. 18 versus Michigan at Globe Life Field in left field. Also made starts vs. Auburn (Feb. 19) and New Mexico (March 16).
- Had one hit in debut game for the Red Raiders versus Michigan.
- Tallied a season-high two RBIs on March 4 versus Merrimack. Came from a pinch-hit opportunity, and knocked in two runs on a double down the left-field line in the sixth inning.
- Worked a .318 on-base percentage drawing five walks to go with two hits over 17 at-bats in 13 games.
- Stole a pair of bases in 2022, both coming during the NCAA Statesboro Regional. The first coming June 3 in a pinch-run opportunity against Notre Dame. The second, also against Notre Dame, but on June 5, when he entered in the top of the ninth in centerfield as a defensive substitute before drawing a walk with a plate appearance in the bottom half of the ninth and then stole second as the Red Raiders tried to rally trailing 2-1.
