2024 Season (Sophomore/2nd Yr.):
• Limited to just eight innings pitched as he battled injury
• Fired a scoreless inning in his 2024 debut against Oregon State (Feb. 21)
• Had a scoreless, eight pitch inning against Texas Southern in the record-setting 32-5 win (Feb. 23)
• Closed his third consecutive scoreless frame against Gardner-Webb (Mar.2)
• Made his lone start of the season against New Mexico (Mar. 5)
• Made his final appearance of the season against New Mexico State (Mar. 13).
2023 (Freshman/1st Yr.):
• Made seven starts in 12 appearances as a two-way freshman
• Finished 1-0 with a 6.03 ERA as a pitcher
• Earned his first-career win vs. Grand Canyon (Apr. 18)
• Tossed a career-high six innings of one-run ball against the Lopes, along with a career-high four strikeouts
• Appeared less frequently at the plate, where he batted 1-2
• First career hit was a pinch-hit double in the top of the ninth inning
HIGH SCHOOL: Led high school team to its first state championship in its 115-year history … responsible for final out, tossing a rocket throw from right field to beat the tying runner at home base to secure a 7-6 win and 4A title over Puyallup … a few games earlier, tossed a two-hit complete-game shutout to send Olympia to the 4A state tournament semifinals … Olympia named Perfect Game’s No. 1 high school in the state of Washington and the No. 16 team in the nation by Baseball America after a 26-3 record and 4A state title (4A highest classification in Washington) … went 4-1 with 77 strikeouts, a 2.1 ERA and hit .430, 20 RBI, six doubles and three triples on the season … named to SBLive’s Washington high school all-state baseball team (outfielder) … named to first team 4A all-area … ranked as Perfect Game’s No. 1 left-handed pitcher and No. 6 overall player in the state of Washington … named to 2022 ABCA/Rawlings High School Region 7 All-Region team.
PERSONAL: Born in Chehalis, Wash. … son of Brycen Fast and Kami Fast … brother to Alyx … grandfather, Darcy Fast, pitched in the majors in 1968 with the Chicago Cubs … father played on the George Fox University baseball team under Pat Casey … sister played on the Minot State Women’s basketball team … majoring in University Studies.
