JUNIOR SEASON (2016-17)

Smith dialed up 10.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.5 blocks per game … His 7.3 rebounds per game were sixth in the Big 12 and were the highest for a Texas Tech player since Cliff Owens also averaged 7.3 rebounds per game during the 200-01 season … Smith’s 1.5 blocks per game were fourth among the Big 12 leaders and his 92 blocks are the most for a Tech player through two seasons breaking the record set by former NBA standout Tony Battie who had 91 blocks during the 1994-95 and 1995-96 seasons … Registered a blocks in 24 of 32 games and secured 27 of his team-leading 48 blocks over his last 15 appearances (Jan. 23-March 17) … Put together consecutive then career-high 15-point performances versus Minnesota (Nov. 22) and Hawaii (Nov. 28) … Notched a career-best run of five straight games with double figures (Dec. 16-Jan. 2) … Turned in a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds against Little Rock (Dec. 22) … Added 10 points and three blocks versus Texas (Jan. 2) during Big 12 opener … Collected six points, nine rebounds and a career-high five blocks at TCU (Jan. 18) … Poured in 18 points against No. 6 West Virginia (Jan. 23) … Netted 19 points on 8-of-12 from the floor at Arkansas (Jan. 30) during Big 12/SEC Challenge … Provided 16 points, nine rebounds and three blocks at No. 21 Baylor (Feb. 13) … Tallied 10 points and nine rebounds during Tech’s upset win versus No. 3 Oklahoma (Feb. 17) … Exploded for a career-high 23 points coupled with eight rebounds and three blocks against TCU (Feb. 23) … Managed 13 points and a career-best 15 rebounds versus TCU (March 9) at Big 12 Tournament.

Smith picked up 6.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game as a starter in all four games on the Canadian Tour ... Tallied eight points, three rebounds and two assists versus Laval University (Aug. 17) ... Secured six points, five rebounds and four assists against Ottawa University (Aug. 20).
FRESHMAN SEASON (2014-15)
Smith collected 6.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.4 assists per game ... Started in 30 of his 31 appearances ... Recorded at least five rebounds in 16 of 31 games ... His 1.5 blocks ranked fifth on the Big 12 leaderboard, while his 45 total blocks finished seventh on Texas Tech's single-season list ...
