Threw in nine meets... incorporated more discus work his sophomore season... scored 6th in the shot put at the Big 12 Championships... finished 9th at the NCAA West meet to punch his second-straight ticket to nationals in the shot put... did not record a mark at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
2025 INDOOR
Threw in six meets... took 2nd place at the Big 12 Championships throwing a mark of 19.20m (63-0).
2024 OUTDOOR
Competed in eight meets... broke the 19-meter mark for the first time at the Big 12 Championships placing 4th with a mark of 19.36m (63-6.25)... finished 3rd overall at the NCAA West meet throwing a PB 19.64m (64-5.25) to punch his ticket to nationals as the highest ranked freshman in the country... finished 18th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
2024 INDOOR
Threw the shot put as an unattached athlete in four meets.
PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH
Three-time district champion at L.D. Bell... three-time state qualifier... placed 2nd at the 2023 6A state meet in the shot put (62-11) and 3rd in 2022... holds a personal best shot put throw of 66-2.25 which ranked No. 2 in Texas and No. 7 nationally.

Full name is David Lindsay Wilson III but also goes by "Trey"... son of Jennifer and David Wilson Jr, has one sibling, Anthony... enjoys lifting weights, swimming shopping and video games... brother Anthony plays as a defensive back for Central Missouri... majoring in Kinesiology.
