Texas Tech looks to snap two-game losing streak at Houston
LUBBOCK, Texas – In their first trip of the season, Lady Raider Basketball is set to face the University of Houston on Sunday for a 2 p.m. tip.

The two will play at the H&PE Arena on the Texas Southern campus due to a restoration project at Hofheinz Pavilion.

This is the first trip to Houston for the Lady Raiders program since the 2011-12 season. Texas Tech defeated the Cougars, 88-58, junior Chynna Brown led the No. 25 Lady Raiders with 21 points and eight rebounds.

The Lady Raiders enter the matchup on a two-game skid. Tech fell to LSU on Thursday during the Big 12/SEC Challenge, 48-40. Brielle Blaire and Recee' Caldwell led the team with 10 points each.

Houston is set for its first home game of the season, playing all eight of their games at neutral sites or on the road. The Cougars have captured a four-game win streak after defeating UT Arlington, 62-58, on the road Friday.

Cougar sophomore Jasmyne Harris led the Houston offense with 16 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals. Junior Serithia Hawkins added to the Cougars scoring with 14 points of her own.

Next up, the Lady Raiders travel to New Mexico for a midweek matchup on Wednesday, Dec. 6. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. CT.
