Sprint Medley Relay Team Wins at Texas Relays

Texas Tech captures two titles in Austin
AUSTIN – The Red Raiders had another great showing at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays after day two of competition.

Divine Oduduru, Andrew Hudson, Tyreek Mathis, and Charles Jones won the men's sprint medley relay with a time of 3:14.20.

The men's distance medley relay, made up of Todd Mickey, Jessie McNary, Vincent Crisp and Cornelius Kiprotich, took fifth place with a time of 9:54.80.

The men's 4x100m relay of Joel Latson, Oduduru, Hudson and Charles Brown was just shy of making the final heat as they placed 11th with a season best time of 40.21.

In the men's discus, junior Duke Kicinski finished seventh with a throw of 56.31m (184-9).

On the women's side, freshman Cyre Virgo clinched the high jump section B title with her 1.78m (5-10) clearance. Her mark tied her personal best.

The women's 4x100m relay team won the preliminary heats with their season best time of 3:38.12, advancing to the final heat tomorrow. Tech women's 4x400m relay was just short of making the final heat with a time of 45.68 to sit in 10th place.

The Red Raiders close out the 91st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays tomorrow. Field events begin at 10 a.m. with the women's discus. The women's 4x100m relay team will run in the final heat tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.
