Chris Beard – THIRD SEASON
Beard has led Texas Tech to a 76-31 record in three seasons where the Red Raiders have advanced to the 2019 National Final after reaching the Elite Eight in 2018 for the first time in program history.  He was named the Big 12 Conference Coach of the Year for the second straight season after guiding the team to the Big 12 Conference regular-season championship and then earned Associated Press National Coach of the Year... Assisted by Mark Adams, Brian Burg, Glynn Cyprien, Max Lefevre, Tim MacAllister, Sean Sutton and graduate assistants Casey Perrin, Darryl Dora, Ronald Ross, Matt Temple, Anthony Johnson, Gino Saucedo and Elliott De Wit... Beard led the 2018-19 team to a national runner-up finish and a 31-7 overall record after earning NCAA Tournament wins over Northern Kentucky and Buffalo in the first and second rounds in Tulsa, a Sweet 16 victory over Michigan and then an Elite Eight win over Gonzaga in Anaheim. The program reached the Final Four for the first time in program history under Beard and knocked off Michigan State with a 61-51 victory to advance to the title game. Beard and the Red Raiders took Virginia to overtime in the championship game before falling 85-77 to finish as the national runner-up. At home, the Red Raiders were 17-1 for the second straight season and are now 50-5 under Beard on their home court.
Jarrett Culver – SOPHOMORE SEASON
Culver was named the Big 12 Conference Player of the Year and a Consensus All-America in a sophomore season where he led the Red Raiders with 18.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game… He scored a career-high with 31 points in the regular-season finale at Iowa State to help lead Tech to the program's first Big 12 Conference regular-season championship where he was 12-for-19 from the field with four 3-pointers… Culver scored in double figures in 37 of 38 games, went for 20 or more in 13 games and also had 30 points in a win over Abilene Christian… He led the Red Raiders with five double-doubles and had a career-high 16 rebounds in a home win over Iowa State… His double-doubles included Oklahoma (23/13), ISU (20/16), Oklahoma State (19/10), West Virginia (26/10) and in the second round of the NCAA tournament against Buffalo where he went for 16 points and 10 rebounds… He scored his 30 points against ACU by going 12-for-13 from the field with two 3-pointers and followed it by scoring 25 points with six rebounds in the New York showcase against Duke in Madison Square Garden… Against the Blue Devils, Culver shined by drilling four 3-pointers and also had four assists and two steals… In conference play, Culver averaged 17.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game where he shot 44.6 percent from the field and led the team with 68 made free throws… He went off for 26 points in the home win over Kansas and had the double-double against WVU in the conference tournament with his 26 points and 10 rebounds… Culver finished his second season with the Red Raiders shooting 46.1 percent from the field and made 49 3-pointers… He had a career-high seven assists in wins over Northern Kentucky and TCU and would finish the season with 23 games with four or more assists… He led Tech with five assists in the national championship game where he also had 15 points and nine rebounds against Virginia… Defensively, Culver had 57 steals for the season including five in games against Kansas State, TCU and West Virginia… During the NCAA tournament, he averaged 18.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and led the Red Raiders with 25 assists in the six games… Following his sophomore season, Culver now has scored 1,119 points and has 327 rebounds, 209 assists, 98 steals and 48 blocked shots through 75 games played… He is the first Red Raider in program history to surpass the 1,000-point milestone as a freshman-sophomore and is currently 27th on the all-time scoring list.
Davide Moretti – SOPHOMORE SEASON
Moretti earned Big 12 Conference Third-Team honors in a sophomore season where he led the nation with a 92.4 free-throw percentage (97-for-105) and averaged 11.5 points and 2.4 assists per game… In conference play, he was 69-for-129 (53.5 %) from the field, 46-for-86 (53.5 %) and 54-for-58 (93.1 %) from the free-throw line… He led Tech for the season with 73 3-pointers and finished at 45.9 percent through a 38-game schedule where he started each game… Moretti shot 49.8 percent from the field for the season with 134 field-goals made… He scored a career-high 21 points in a non-conference win over Arkansas where made three 3-pointers and was 6-for-7 from the free-throw line… Moretti scored in double figures in 25 games, including going for 20 points in games against Oklahoma State and in the regular-season finale at Iowa State to help lead the Red Raiders to the program's first-ever Big 12 Conference regular-season championship… On his home court, Moretti averaged 11.8 points per game and was 47-for-49 at the free-throw line as the Red Raiders went 17-1 at home… In the win at ISU, Moretti was 4-for-6 on 3-pointers and also 4-for-4 at the free-throw line… His season was also highlighted by going 12-for-12 from the free-throw line in a win at Oklahoma State where he finished with those 20 points that included two 3-pointers… Moretti made three 3-pointers in the national championship game and finished with 15 points against Virginia… He scored in double figures in five of six NCAA Tournament games including a 15-point performance in the Sweet 16 win over Michigan where he was 3-for-4 from beyond the arc… He had a career-high five 3-pointers in an early-season win over Mississippi Valley State and finished the season with 23 games with at least two 3-pointers… Throughout the NCAA Tournament, Moretti averaged 11.3 points per game with nine 3-pointers and was 13-for-15 at the free-throw line…. After two seasons and 75 games played, he has now scored 566 points, has made 99 career 3-pointers and is 121-for-133 (91.0 %) from the free-throw line.
Matt Mooney – SENIOR SEASON
Mooney earned Final Four All-Tournament Team honors to complete a senior season where he averaged 11.3 points, 3.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game for the Red Raiders… He was named to the Big 12 Conference Second Team along with receiving conference Newcomer and Defensive Team honors… Mooney matched a season-high with 22 points after hitting four 3-pointers going 8-for-16 from the field in the Final Four win over Michigan State in Minneapolis… A graduate transfer, Mooney completed his first season with the Red Raiders making 49 3-pointers and leading the team with 70 steals which is second in program history for a single-season behind only Ronald Ross who had 86 in the 2004-05 season… He also scored 22 points in a road win at Texas where he was 8-for-10 from the field and hit three 3-pointers… Mooney scored in double figures in 24 games this season including the final five games… He scored 10 points in the national championship game against Virginia after his 22 in the first Final Four game against the Spartans and 17 in the Elite Eight win over Gonzaga… Mooney had nine games with three or more steals, including a season-high five steals in the NCAA Tournament first-round matchup against Northern Kentucky… He also had 15 games with four or more assists, highlighted by a career-high eight assists in the Northern Kentucky game where he also had nine points… Prior to the eight assists against NKU, he had a previous season-high with six assists against Incarnate Word, Mississippi Valley State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, UTRGV, Kansas, Oklahoma State and TCU… Mooney was 10-for-10 at the free-throw line throughout the NCAA Tournament and finished his season going 68-for-87 (78.2 %) at the line and making 156 field goals (42.6 %)… After starting his career at Air Force and South Dakota, Mooney finished his collegiate playing career with 1,906 points, 236 steals, and 354 assists.
Tariq Owens – SENIOR SEASON
Owens established a new Texas Tech single-season record with 92 blocked shots, set a new single-game record with eight blocks against Memphis and finished his senior season with the sixth most blocks in the nation and was 13th nationally at 2.42 blocks per game… A graduate transfer, Owens averaged 8.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game… He had a season-high 18 points in an early-season win over Southern Cal after going 7-for-10 from the field in Kansas City, had three double-doubles that included 12 points and 10 rebounds at Kansas, 13 rebounds and 12 points at TCU and 13 points and 11 rebounds in that eight-block performance against Memphis in Miami.. Owens had five double-digit rebound performances with a career-high 14 in the regular-season finale at Iowa State that helped lead the Red Raiders to the program's first Big 12 Conference regular-season championship… He would also grab 10 rebounds and contributed seven points in the Sweet 16 win over Michigan and then scored nine points in the Elite Eight victory over Gonzaga where he also had seven rebounds… Owens had a blocked shot in 37 of 38 games in his senior season including 17 games with three or more blocks… In the NCAA Tournament, Owens averaged 8.0 points and 6.0 rebounds and also led the team with 14 blocked shots in the six games… Owens led the team throughout the season by shooting 61.1 percent from the field and with 2.1 offensive rebounds per game… A grad transfer who started his career at Tennessee before two seasons at St. John's, Owens completed his collegiate career with 270 blocked shots.
Norense Odiase – SENIOR SEASON
Odiase completed his Texas Tech career as the winningest player in program history having been a part of teams that compiled 108 victories… He started 37 of 38 games in his senior season and averaged 5.4 rebounds and 4.2 rebounds for the Red Raiders who advanced to the national championship game after he helped lead the program to its first Elite Eight appearance in his junior season… Odiase recorded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds in the NCAA Tournament second-round win over Buffalo and would average 6.3 rebounds and 4.8 points per game in the six tournament games… He finished the season with a career-best 35 blocked shots that included a season-best three blocks in the home finale against Texas… He had six rebounds and five points in the national championship game against Virginia after helping lead the team to the title game with nine rebounds in the Final Four semifinal win over Michigan State… Odiase had six games in his senior season with double-digit rebound performances with 13 rebounds in wins over Southeastern Louisiana and Kansas, along with 11 rebounds at Oklahoma… He also had 10 rebounds against Mississippi Valley State and in the home win over West Virginia… Odiase completed the year with 64 offensive rebounds, including a season-best seven offensive boards in the win over Buffalo in Tulsa to start the NCAA Tournament run… Against the Bulls, he was 4-for-4 from the field and 6-for-7 from the free-throw line for his season-high 14 points… Odiase's previous season-best scoring performance was against West Virginia at home where he scored nine points by going 3-for-4 from the field with three free throws… He also had eight-point performances in his senior season against Mississippi Valley State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State twice and Kansas… Odiase completed his career with 594 rebounds, 626 points and 79 blocked shots.
Brandone Francis – SENIOR SEASON
Francis completed his collegiate career by averaging 6.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game in his senior season… Francis led the reserves in scoring after coming off the bench in 37 games with one start in the season… He matched a career-high in the national championship game by scoring 17 points against Virginia where he was 7-for-12 from the field, including hitting three 3-pointers… Francis averaged 7.8 points per game in the six NCAA Tournament games and helped the Red Raiders reach the championship final with nine points in the Final Four semifinal victory over Michigan State… He also had six points in the Elite Eight against Gonzaga and six points in the opening-round victory over Northern Kentucky… Francis finished the year fourth on the team with 44 3-pointers and with 53 assists on the season… He had eight double-digit scoring performances, highlighted by the championship final 17-point game that followed a 16-point effort in a win over West Virginia at home where he was 7-for-10 from the field with two 3-pointers… Francis had four games with three 3-pointers, including knocking down three in a 14-point performance at Baylor and three more in a home win over Kansas where he finished with nine points… Francis had a career-high six assists in the win over Memphis in Miami where he also added 10 points against the Tigers and contributed 12 points in his final home game against Texas… He completed his Texas Tech career having played in 75 games for the Red Raiders where he scored 434 points and made 77 3-pointers on teams that reached the Elite Eight in his junior season and then the national final in his senior season.
Kyler Edwards - FRESHMAN SEASON
Edwards averaged 5.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game in his freshman season where he helped lead the Red Raiders to the national championship game… He scored 12 points in the national final against Virginia after going 4-for-5 from the field, including going 2-for-3 on 3-pointers and then also knocking down two free throws in the overtime game… Edwards played in all 38 games in his first season as a reserve and would finish the year with 42 assists, 23 steals and 31 3-pointers… He scored a career-high 19 points in a win over Northern Colorado where he went 7-for-7 from the field with four 3-pointers and had five double-digit scoring performances on the year… He began his collegiate career with 10 points in the season-opener against Incarnate Word and followed it with nine points against Mississippi Valley State in the second game… Edwards would score 10 points in games against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Abilene Christian… In conference play, he had a high of nine points in games against Kansas State and Iowa State… Edwards averaged 5.8 points per game in the six NCAA tournament games capped by the 12-point performance against the Cavaliers… He also had eight points in the Elite Eight win over Gonzaga where he hit two 3-pointers and added six points in the Final Four semifinal victory over Michigan State where he also had four rebounds... Edwards finished the season shooting 31-for-69 (44.9 %) from beyond the arc.
Deshawn Corprew – SOPHOMORE SEASON
Corprew completed his first season with the Red Raiders averaging 5.0 points and 3.3 per game… He played in 37 of 38 game this season with one start… Corprew scored in double figures in seven games with a career-high 13 points in games against Northern Colorado and UT Rio Grande Valley… Against UTRGV, Corprew made his only start of the season and recorded a double-double with 10 rebounds to go along with his 13 points… He was 6-for-8 from the field with one 3-pointer in the game in 27 minutes of play on the Red Raider home court… Corprew also scored 13 points against UNC by going 6-for-7 from the field and had four rebounds in that win… His first double-digit scoring performance came in the second game of the season where he had 11 points and eight rebounds against Mississippi Valley State and he also had 12 points in the neutral-court win over Memphis in 15 minutes of play in Miami… In conference play, Corprew averaged 4.8 points and 2.9 rebounds per game with a conference-best 12 points in the road win at TCU…. He was 5-for-6 from the field against the Horned Frogs in Fort Worth with two 3-pointers… In the NCAA Tournament, Corprew had a tournament-best five points in the second round against Buffalo and had four rebounds in the Sweet 16 victory over Michigan… He finished the season shooting 56.0 percent from the field with 75 made field goals.
Parker Hicks – SOPHOMORE SEASON
Hicks scored a career-high five points in a win over West Virginia and finished his second season with the Red Raiders having played in 16 games… He was 2-for-4 in seven minutes of play against the Mountaineers and would also score three points in wins over Incarnate Word and Baylor… Hicks had a career-best three rebounds against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and completed the season with 10 rebounds… He has now played on teams that reached the Elite Eight in his freshman season and the national championship game as a sophomore.
Avery Benson – SOPHOMORE SEASON
Benson scored a career-high five points in a home win over Baylor and completed his sophomore season having appeared in 20 games for the Red Raiders who advanced to the national championship game… Benson was 5-for-13 from the field throughout the season having scored in games against Incarnate Word, Northern Colorado and Kansas… He was 2-for-2 from the field in his five-point performance against Baylor and had a career-high three rebounds in wins over West Virginia and Oklahoma State… He also had three steals in the home win over West Virginia.
Andrew Sorrells – JUNIOR SEASON
Sorrells had a season-high four points in a win over Northwestern State and finished his redshirt junior season having appeared in 17 games for the Red Raiders who advanced to the national championship game… He hit a 3-pointer in the home finale against Texas and would see action in the NCAA Tournament against Buffalo in the second round and Michigan in the Sweet 16… Sorrells has been a part of three NCAA Tournament teams as a Red Raider and has played in 34 games.
Josh Mballa – FRESHMAN SEASON
Mballa appeared in 17 games in his freshman season for the Red Raiders with a season-high three points at Kansas… He also scored in games against Incarnate Word, Northern Colorado, Northwestern State, Abilene Christian and Baylor… Mballa finished the season 4-for-9 from the field and had two blocked shots coming against Kansas and West Virginia… He gained NCAA Tournament experience in the second-round win over Buffalo and the Sweet 16 victory over Michigan.
