LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team is set to face its toughest test yet when it travels to Waco, Texas, to face No. 1/2 Baylor. The Lady Raiders and Bears are scheduled to tip off at 2 p.m. Saturday on ESPN+.

The Lady Raiders enter the weekend looking to build on an epic overtime win over conference foe Oklahoma on Wednesday that marked the team's second conference victory this season. Just over halfway into the season, Texas Tech sits only one victory behind their final win total from a season ago.
Second-year Lady Raider head coach Marlene Stollings boasts a deep team. Led by Brittany Brewer, who leads the nation in blocks and is averaging a double-double, and 2019 Big 12 Freshman of the Year Chrislyn Carr, Texas Tech has already experienced plenty of success in 2020 which the team will look to build on over the final months of the season. The Lady Raiders finished the nonconference schedule undefeated for the first time in eight seasons at 11-0. Additionally, led by 29 points from Andrayah Adams, Tech picked up its first overtime win in four years on Wednesday.
EYEING THE OPPONENT
The Baylor Bears (16-1, 5-0 Big 12) come into Saturday's game ranked as the top team in the country in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Coming off its 46th-straight Big 12 win in a victory over TCU on Wednesday, Baylor has a balanced attack with five players averaging double figures, including All-American and Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year Lauren Cox. Additionally, point guard Didi Richards leads the Big 12 in assists per game at 5.1 and Juicy Landrum ranks second in the conference in three point field goal percentage at 44.7 percent.
LAST TIME OUT
The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team picked up the program's first overtime win in four years on Wednesday, defeating Oklahoma, 89-84, at United Supermarkets Arena. It marked Texas Tech's third-straight win over the Sooners.
The Lady Raiders were led in scoring by Andrayah Adams, who scored a career high 29 points on Wednesday night. Adams scored 21 points over the course of the second half and overtime, including 14 points in the third quarter.
Sophomore Chrislyn Carr was also huge for Texas Tech, dropping a season-high 24 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Freshman Nailah Dillard also scored a career high 10 points along with two steals.
Oklahoma expanded its lead to as large as 15 with 1:35 left in the third quarter; however, the Lady Raiders wouldn't quit, and outscored Oklahoma, 29-14, through the rest of regulation to force overtime. Carr took over and scored eight points in overtime to secure the Texas Tech victory.
