ABOUT THE LADY RAIDERS
The Lady Raiders look to get back on track this Wednesday after a pair of conference losses last week. Tech enters the matchup with the Jayhawks at 14-7 overall on the year.
Â
Second-year Lady Raider head coach Marlene Stollings boasts a deep team. Led by Brittany Brewer, who ranks second in the nation in blocks and is averaging a double-double, and 2019 Big 12 Freshman of the Year Chrislyn Carr, Texas Tech has already experienced plenty of success in 2020 which the team will look to build on over the final month of the season. The Lady Raiders finished the nonconference schedule undefeated for the first time in eight seasons at 11-0. Additionally, led by 29 points from Andrayah Adams, Tech picked up its first overtime win in four years last month, knocking off Big 12 foe Oklahoma.
Â
EYEING THE OPPONENT
The Kansas Jayhawks (12-10) come into Wednesday's game following an 87-74 home loss to TCU last weekend. Kansas is 1-10 in conference play after a strong, 11-0 start in nonconference action to open the season that included a 76-66 Big 12/SEC Challenge win over Florida. Kansas has five players averaging double-figure scoring, led by Aniya Thomas with 12.5 points per game. Thomas also ranks third in the conference in steals per game with a 2.05 average. As a team, Kansas ranks third in the Big 12 in turnovers forced, averaging 18.23 per game. Junior forward Tina Stephens leads the Jayhawks in rebounding, averaging 6.4 boards per contest. Head coach Brandon Schneider is in his fifth season in Lawrence.

LADY RAIDER STORYLINES
- Senior Brittany Brewer came close to posting her second triple-double of the season in Sunday's game against Texas, recording 23 points, 12 rebounds and eight blocks. Second in the country in blocks, Brewer is the only player in the country with three games of eight or more blocks this season.
Â
- After a handful of offensive outbursts over the last two weeks, junior Andrayah Adams appears to have found her scoring rhythm. Over the last five games, Adams is averaging 16.4 points per game. That stretch includes 21.3 points per game at home.
Â
- Texas Tech has three players that rank in the top 25 of the conference in both scoring and rebounding: Brittany Brewer, Alexis Tucker and Lexi Gordon. Tech is the only school in the Big 12 with the same trio of players ranking in the top 25 of the conference in those two categories.
Â
- Tech also has two players ranking in the top five of the Big 12 in assists per game: Chrislyn Carr (4.7) and Jo'Nah Johnson (4.5). Texas Tech and Baylor are the only two schools in the conference with two players averaging four or more assists per game this season.
