Red Raiders conclude Masked Rider Open

Tech’s final home meet will take place April 28-29
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech track and field team wrapped up its first outdoor home meet of the season, the Masked Rider Open, Saturday afternoon at the Terry and Linda Fuller Track and Field Complex.
Sylvia Schulz and Oskar Edlund dropped some serious PB times in the 400 hurdles as they both made their outdoor season debut. Schulz clocked in at 57.22 for the second-fastest time in Tech history and No. 9 time in the country as of tonight.
Edlund crossed the finish line with a time of 50.38 as that is the No. 2 time in the country as of tonight.
Saturday's first result came from Garrett Wade in the javelin as he threw a mark of 64.53m (211-8). The women's 1500 saw a trio of PB marks in heat one, led by Hannah Spears with a time of 4:44.96. On the men's side, Matthew Maki registered in at 4:05.48 (PB).
In the women's triple jump, Brya Brewer made her outdoor season debut coming in first with a leap of 12.86m (42-2.25). Freshman Naomi Krebs made her season debut in the 110m hurdles, taking first overall with a time of 13.70 (-0.1w).
In her 100m debut, Serena Clark placed second with a time of 11.40 (+1.2w) as she equaled her PB. Due to high winds early on in Lubbock, the pole vault competition was moved inside to the Sports Performance Center. Zach Bradford led the way for the men with a height of 5.70m (18-8.25).

- Tech debuted a men and women 4x100 relay. The men clocked in at 39.77 while the women finished 44.62.
- Following his injury during the indoor season, Jacolby Shelton came back and ran 200m with a time of 21.46 (-1.2w).
