Keys registered two personal bests Wednesday afternoon
AUSTIN, Texas – Joe Keys kicked off the 95th Texas Relays for Texas Tech Wednesday afternoon as he wrapped up day one of his decathlon run.
In a field of 12 decathletes, Keys picked up a pair of top-5 finishes and two PB marks. He started the day with a PB 100m time of 10.98 as he went sub-11 for the first time in the event.

Keys placed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 6.80m (23-3.75). He shined in the high jump registering a new outdoor PB mark of 1.98m (6-6), finishing fourth overall.Decathlon 100m

Keys capped off day one totaling 3,851 points, sitting sixth overall. He'll wrap up his final day tomorrow beginning with the 110 hurdles at 10 a.m. The remaining events include the discus, pole vault, javelin and 1500.Decathlon high jump
