The Red Raiders cap off the regular season tomorrow with senior day
LUBBOCK, Texas – The discus crew kicked off the weekend for Texas Tech as part of the two-day Corky/Crofoot Shootout taking place this weekend.
Three Tech throwers placed in the top top-8 of the men's discus 'A' section, led by Devin Roberson. The junior's best mark measured in at 59.55m (195-4) which came on his fifth throw. Jacob Mechler placed fourth with a PB throw of 56.17m (184-3) while Konner Wood finished eighth at 51.37m (168-6).
Malin Smith was the lone representative on the women's side as she finished third with a mark of 53.52m (175-7).
The final throwers of the day were two decathletes, Cole Omlin and Joe Keys. Omlin led the way finishing fifth with a PB throw of 42.85m (140-7) on his final attempt. Keys also finished with a PB mark at 41.64m (136-7) placing seventh.

Tech wraps up the weekend tomorrow starting with the first field event (hammer) at 11 a.m. and the first running (steeplechase) event at 2 p.m. The senior ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. on the main track.
