Adeshina set new school record in high jump

The junior bested her previous mark by one centimeter
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Texas Tech indoor track and field team wrapped up day one of the Razorback Invite Friday night at the Randal Tyson Track Center.
Meet Coverage
In the high jump, Temitope Adeshina entered the competition at 1.75m (5-8 ¾) and did not miss until 1.94m (6-4 ¼). It took the junior two attempts to break her school record of 1.96m (6-5) as she cleared 1.97m (6-5 ½). She bowed out of the competition after two attempts at 2.00m (6-6 ¾). The clearance today equals the meet record, her PB and bumps up her national lead by four centimeters followed by a new Nigerian record.
The first event in the books was the men's pole vault as Jackson Bragg led the way with a third-place outing, clearing a PB 5.30m (17-4 ½). A few hours later, once the running events got underway, Lovina Ewusi took second place overall in the 300m with a time of 37.86.
The men's 200m was led by newcomer Kamron Neal who clocked in a PB time of 20.75. Over on the women's side, Anita Afrifa as she placed eighth overall with a time of 23.40.
Notables
· Stephen Mutai opened his season in the 800m running 1:48.53.
· Kashlee Dickinson finished 4th in the pole vault clearing 4.15m (13-7 ¼).
· Evelyn Lavielle finished 5th in the high jump clearing 1.80m (5-10 ¾).
