Red Raiders close out Razorback Invite Saturday

Texas Tech will be back on the road next week going to Albuquerque
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Texas Tech indoor track and field team concluded the Razorback Invite Saturday evening at the Randal Tyson Track Center.

In one of the first finals of the day, Malachi Snow placed second in the 60m hurdles, only behind pro hurdler Trey Cunningham, with a time of 7.56. It's the first time this season Snow has ran a prelim, semifinal and final.
In the first section of the men's 3k race, Titus Kimaru and Victor Kipkoech both etched new top-10 Texas Tech times. Kimaru clocked in at 7:53.19, No. 2 all-time, while Kipkoech went 7:53.85, No. 4 all-time. A few minutes later, over in the triple jump, Seremes finished second for the men bounding 16.38m (53-9). The women's triple jump saw three Red Raiders make the final, including two in the top-4, led by Ruta Lasmane in second. Lasmane leaped a SB 13.44m (45-1) as Grace Oshiokpu jumped a PB 13.44m (44-1 ¼) to place fourth.
The men's 4x400 (heat 1) closed out the meet clocking in at 3:06.50. The team was comprised of Shaemar Uter (season debut), Kamron Neal, Desean Boyce (season debut) and Brian Tinega (season debut). The women's team (heat 2) combined for a time of 3:33.42, which is good for No. 2 all-time in Tech history. The team was made up of Mekenze Kelley, Anita Afrifa, Lovina Ewusi and Vanessa Balde.
Notables
·      The men's and women's 60m finals were not contested. Antoine Andrews was set to go for the men, while Success Umukoro was the women's representative.
·      Olga Szlachta finished 8th in the triple jump with a PB 13.28m (43-7).
·      Each of Lasmane's jumps were at least 13.33m.
