SENIOR SEASON (2018-19)
Francis completed his collegiate career by averaging 6.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game in his senior season… Francis led the reserves in scoring after coming off the bench in 37 games with one start in the season… He matched a career-high in the national championship game by scoring 17 points against Virginia where he was 7-for-12 from the field, including hitting three 3-pointers… Francis averaged 7.8 points per game in the six NCAA Tournament games and helped the Red Raiders reach the championship final with nine points in the Final Four semifinal victory over Michigan State… He also had six points in the Elite Eight against Gonzaga and six points in the opening-round victory over Northern Kentucky… Francis finished the year fourth on the team with 44 3-pointers and with 53 assists on the season… He had eight double-digit scoring performances, highlighted by the championship final 17-point game that followed a 16-point effort in a win over West Virginia at home where he was 7-for-10 from the field with two 3-pointers… Francis had four games with three 3-pointers, including knocking down three in a 14-point performance at Baylor and three more in a home win over Kansas where he finished with nine points… Francis had a career-high six assists in the win over Memphis in Miami where he also added 10 points against the Tigers and contributed 12 points in his final home game against Texas… He completed his Texas Tech career having played in 75 games for the Red Raiders where he scored 434 points and made 77 3-pointers on teams that reached the Elite Eight in his junior season and then the national final in his senior season.
