Threw the shotput in eight different meets... Finished in the top 5 seven times... Recorded a 2nd place finish at the Texas Tech Open and the ACU Last Chance Meet... Placed 14th at the Big 12 Championships.

Threw the shot put in six meets ... season and career best came at the Red Raider Invitational, marking 56'-4.5" (17.18m) ... was his first throw over 17 meters in his career ... also went over 17 at the Texas Tech Shootout, landing one at 56'-0.5" (17.08m) ... missed scoring at the Big 12 Championships by one spot, placing ninth.
2019 OUTDOOR
Competed in seven meets for Tech … threw a personal best in the shot put of 55’-1.5 at the TTU Masked Rider Open ... the Masked Rider Open and Michael Johnson Invite were two meets where Darrow placed second amongst the field of competitors … was also apart of the Big 12 Championship men’s team title, just missing scoring with a 10th-place 52'-6.75" in the shot put.
2019 INDOOR
Threw in seven meets for Tech … collected top-five finishes amongst the field in shot put four times during the 2019 indoor season ... was the runner up at the Texas Tech Classic in the shot put with a throw of 51’-3.5" ... Darrow finished eighth at the Big 12 championship in the shot put with a throw of 54’-1.25, his highest career finish at conference.
2018 OUTDOOR
Competed in five meets … first outdoor meet resulted in a fifth-place finish in the shot put at the ACU Wes Kittley Invitational … recorded a PR of 16.50m/54’-1.75” at the Texas Tech Corky/Crofoot Shootout … won the shot put at the Texas Tech Masked Raider Invite with a 16.17m/53’-0.75” … placed 11th at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships.
2019 INDOOR
Threw in six meets in his first time wearing the Red & Black … landed a 15.68m/51’-5.5” in his first meet at the Red Raider Invitational … highest finish was third at the Texas Tech Red & Black Open … marked a season-best 16.09m/52’-9.5” at the Texas Tech Open.
