Returned from injury to earn All-America status and score at the Big 12 Championships ... Hinton made her comeback at the Corky Classic, running the 60H and long jumping ... completed her first multi back two weekends later at the TT Invitational, tallying 3,939 points with what would be season-best marks in the high jump (1.74m) and shot put (10.68m) ... earned silver at the Big 12 Championships with 4,105 points, the third-most by a Red Raider in school history.

Competed in six meets, which culminated in a second-straight Big 12 title ... secured the title with 5,793 points while also competing individually in the long jump and high jump ... she scored in the latter with an eighth-place finish ... got her PR in the 100H at the Michael Johnson Invitational, running a 13.61.

Competed in six meets ... was a Big 12 runner-up in the pent with a career-best 4,075 points ... also scored individually in the 60H, HJ and LJ ... took second in the pent at the Texas Tech Shootout ... won the long jump at the Red Raider Invitational with a 20'-0.25" (6.10m).
2017 SUMMER
Hinton was invited to compete for Team USA in Ottawa Canada at the NACAC Capital Cup Combined Events Championships ... ending the first half of her heptathlon performance on the first day, she sat in sixth with 3,345 points ... Hinton threw her second farthest javelin throw of the year on the second day (37.15m/121-10) followed by a 2:22.10 800m run to end the competition in sixth overall out of 17 competitors with 5.545 points.
2017 OUTDOOR
Showed major strides in the heptathlon during her sophomore season, concluding the year ranked No. 5 in the nation with her 5869 point performance at the Big 12 Championship ... competed in a total of seven meets in her outdoor campaign to collect First Team All-America honors and a Big 12 Championship title ... at the conference championship, Hinton finished first in four events (200m, 100H, HJ, LJ) and third in two (JT, 800m) on the road to her lifetime-best 5869 points for the all-time Texas Tech record spot ... this conference performance marked her third pentathlon competition win at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kansas, notching personal-bests in five of her events JT (36.27m/119-0), 800m (2:19.10), 100H (13.48w), HJ (1.79m/5-10.50), 200m (24.01w) ... Hinton was an automatic qualifier for nationals in Eugene, where she finished eighth overall for First Team honors at 5580 points ... with strong rain and light hail rolling in before her throw, Hinton recorded a lifetime-best in the javelin competition (37.25m/122-2) that was over a three-foot improvement from her previous best-mark made at the Big 12 Championship.

Competed in six meets during the indoor season wrangling a Big 12 title in the pentathlon ... started of the season with top-three finishes in all six of the individual events in which she competed in the first three meets, notching a personal record in the 60H at the Adidas Classic clocking an 8.41 run ... went on to collect second-place in the pentathlon at the New Mexico Classic with 3974 points, finishing top-three in four out of five events ... at the NM Classic, she hit a new personal-best in the high jump, increasing her mark to 1.73m/5-8 ... at the Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Championship, she aided the Red Raiders in maintaining the pentathlon title for the second year in a row, completing the meet with 4010 points and a personal-best 800m run with a time of 8:19.48 ... finished the season ranked No. 22 in the NCAA.
2016 SUMMER
Qualified for the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships & will represent Team USA in Poland in the heptathlon ... finished 10th in the heptathlon at the USATF Junior National Championships with a score of 4,624 points ... came into the meet with the World Championships standard and qualified after being the only other competitor in the field other than the winner to achieve it ... got off to a strong start to the meet, posting 3,207 points after day one, which concluded with a personal-best 24.78 in the 200 meters ... pulled within four points of the leader after the long jump, but ran into some trouble in the javelin, which dropped her down to 10th in the end.
2016 OUTDOOR
Finished 32nd in the long jump at the NCAA West Preliminaries with a mark of 5.75m/18-10.5 ... entered the NCAA West Preliminaries with a mark of 6.03m/19-9.5 in the women's long jump, which ranked 35th ... that jump came at the Texas Relays on March 31 while competing in the heptathlon ... that was her first heptathlon as a collegiate competitor, and was poised for a strong finish in the event before being unable to complete the 800 meters, giving her a final total of 4628 points ... she got redemption three weeks later as she won the event at the Kansas Relays on April 21 ... her three PR's during the heptathlon helped her record the seventh-best total in school history at 5348 points ... at the Big 12 Championships, she earn silver in the event and put up the 10th-best score in Texas Tech history with 5287 points ... the second-place finish made her and Natalie Thompson the first teammates to go 1-2 in the event at the conference meet since 2010 ... she's recorded three top three finishes in the long jump this season in non-heptathlon events ... her 6.03m/19-9.5 (W) mark was the second of back-to-back PR's for her after hitting 5.98m/19-7.5 at the Texas Tech Open the week before ... she ha two 100-meter hurdles victories this season, also setting her PR at the Texas Tech Open with a time of 13.86 seconds ... was named to the 2016 All-Big 12 Rookie Team.
2016 INDOOR
Had quite the busy start to her freshman indoor season as a combined events athlete for Texas Tech ... posted eight top-five finishes overall in non-pentathlon events ... also notched nine personal-bests during the indoor campaign ... opened in the high jump at the Arkansas Invitational by clearing 1.70m/5-7 ... set a PR en route to All-Big 12 honors in the high jump after clearing 1.71m/5-7.25 to finish fifth ... PR'd twice in the long jump, reaching a distance of 6.09m/19-11.75 at the Tyson Invitational on Feb. 12 ... recorded her first pentathlon victory of her collegiate career at the Husker Invitational after scoring 3882 points ... her three personal-bests in the pentathlon helped her secure bronze in the event at the Big 12 Championship with 4026 points ... helped give Tech the first ever 1-2-3 finish in the pentathlon by teammates at the conference meet ... her total also ranked seventh all-time at Texas Tech.
