Kerry Callender graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in sports management and a minor in business, and spend two-and-a-half years as an athletic training student assistant working with various athletic teams. During his last semester and the year following his graduation, Callender worked as an operations assistant at the Valero Texas Open golf tournament on the PGA Tour, where he assisted in on-course build-out planning and execution, signage planning, security scheduling, as well as logistics for parking and transportation. At Tech, he is I the dual degree program for obtaining a masters in sports management and an MBA, with the hopes to one day become a director of basketball operations for a major DI program.
