Women's 4x1 Highlights Day Two in Eugene
June 07, 2018 | Track and Field
The 4x1 squad earns All-America honors
"Three of the four have never been to a national meet in their lives, and I think it was a great experience," Head Coach Wes Kittley said. "I'm really hoping that's what they can take from this. I'm really glad that they got here, and they're all back next year, so I hope they gained a good experience." Â
Unlike the first two days of competition, Friday's action will include both men and women competing. Kaylee Hinton will be busy all day, representing the Red Raiders in the heptathlon. She enters the NCAA Championships ranked 12th in the nation with her season-high score of 5,793. Her first event, the 100m hurdles, is set to begin at 12:00 PT/2:00 CT. Â
The men's team will be seeking to improve upon their current standing, which has them tied for ninth with Michigan and South Dakota, by picking up points in the field. Jumpers Trey Culver and Odaine Lewis will be competing in the high jump and triple jump, respectively. Duke Kicinski will compete for points in the men's discus – the event in which he is the reigning Big 12 Champion. Â
More points may come on the track, where Divine Oduduru will run the 200m after qualifying for the finals in Wednesday's prelims. His championship race will be run at 7:07 PT/9:07 CT. Â
