LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team stretched its record to 2-0 on Monday night with a 98-60 win over Florida A&M at United Supermarkets Arena.

How It Happened
Senior Brittany Brewer turned in her second double-double of the season on Monday, finishing with 18 points and 14 rebounds to go along with five blocks, two assists and two steals. Junior Sydney Goodson led the team in scoring with 21 points to set a new career high. Jo'Nah Johnson and Alexis Tucker each finished with 17 points to score in double digits as well.

Texas Tech tied the school record for made threes in a game with 14 on the night, matching the Lady Raiders' long-range outburst against Oklahoma in 2004 that's stood as the school record for 15 years. Goodson converted five of her eight three-point attempts, while Nailah Dillard and Jo'Nah Johnson both tallied three apiece to pace Tech.

The Lady Raiders led the Rattlers, 22-19, after the first quarter, but a record second quarter put Tech in front for good. Texas Tech hit eight threes in the frame that set a new school record for threes in a quarter. Additionally, Tech's 36 points in the period set a single-quarter program record as well. Overall, the Lady Raiders outscored the Rattlers, 36-14, to take a 58-33 advantage into the half.
