HEAD COACH DANNY WHITEHEAD:
"Denver is a really good team. They had an absolute battle with Tulsa last night, and Tulsa is a legitimate Top-30 team talent wise. Denver is also a legitimate top-50 team, but I thought our team showed a lot of resolve. We were trying to figure out whether we should play indoors or outdoors, but we're comfortable regardless. We came in here and got the job done which is what we talked about prior to the match. We talked about the importance of caring about ourselves as a team and our toughness. We need to continue to take advantage of these opportunities for us to get tougher. Wins like tonight are great and we're in a point of the season that we need to start racking up some wins. But overall, we care more about whether or not we're getting tougher. And our guy's tonight were extremely tough. We didn't give Denver anything tonight. It's a quick turnaround and Tulsa is an extremely good team. We need all of Red Raider Nation out tomorrow at 1 p.m. to help us get it done. #WreckEm"
UP NEXT:
Texas Tech will return to the court tomorrow when they host No. 28 Tulsa. First serve is set for 1 p.m. from the McLeod Tennis Center.
