Welcome addition to the Red Raider secondary after strong debut … started and played in all 10 games at safety … finished as Texas Tech’s third-leading tackler after totaling 60 on the year (41 solo) … led all defensive backs in tackles … ranked tied for fourth on the team with 5.0 tackles for a loss … forced two fumbles, recovered one other and added two pass breakups … had at least two tackles in every game and five or more stops in six different games … reached double digits for tackles twice on the year for the first time in his career … SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: opened the year with two tackles in the season-opening victory over Houston Baptist (9/12) … broke up a pass and posted five tackles two weeks later in the Big 12 opener versus Texas (9/26) … had three tackles the next week at Kansas State (10/3) … recorded the best performance of his career at Iowa State (10/10), finishing with a career-high 12 tackles to go along with his first career forced fumble … outing versus the Cyclones marked the first of three-straight games with a tackle for a loss … had two tackles in the win over West Virginia (10/24) during that stretch, which included a shared stop behind the line of scrimmage … came close to another double-digit showing against Oklahoma (10/31) after logging nine overall … set a career high with 2.0 tackles for a loss versus the Sooners … notched six tackles at TCU (11/7) before returning to double digits with 11 takedowns in the win over Baylor (11/14) … strong again two weeks later at Oklahoma State (11/28) with seven tackles and a fumble recovery … was the first fumble recovery of his career … closed the season with three tackles and another forced fumble in the season finale against Kansas (12/5) … matched his career high with 2.0 tackles for a loss in the win over the Jayhawks ...
