2022 SEASON (JUNIOR)
Saw action in 12 games during final season as a Red Raider โฆ once again a regular in the defensive line rotation โฆ totaled 18 tackles (13 solo) on the year, the most thus far in his career โฆ of that total, recorded 4.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks, both career bests โฆ recorded 11 of his 18 tackles and all of his TFL and sack totals during non-conference play โฆ credited with appearing in 217 snaps defensively by Pro Football Focus โฆ SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: opened the season with four tackles in the win over Murray State (9/3), which included career highs for tackles for loss (3.0) and sacks (2.0) โฆ his 3.0 tackles for loss marked the most, at the time, for a Red Raider since Jordyn Brooks recorded 4.0 at Oklahoma State in 2019 โฆ one of 15 FBS players nationally to record 3.0 tackles for loss during opening week of the college football season โฆ followed with three tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in the win over Houston (9/10) and then four stops at N.C. Became a regular in the defensive line rotation as a sophomore โฆ appeared in all 13 games, rotating between nose tackle and the end positions โฆ totaled 16 tackles overall (8 solo), including 1.5 that went for a loss โฆ found his way in the backfield with two quarterback hurries โฆ reached three or more tackles in three different games overall โฆ SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: put together the best performance of his young career later in the season with a career-high six tackles against Oklahoma State (11/20) โฆ outing included his season total of 1.5 tackles for loss, also a career-high โฆ had three tackles twice earlier in the season against Stephen F. Austin (9/11) and at Texas (9/25) โฆ posted his two quarterback hurries against SFA and then in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl against Mississippi State (12/28) โฆ notched one tackle in the bowl victory, one of seven contests on the year with a stop.
2020 SEAS0N (FRESHMAN)
Appeared in all 10 games along the defensive line as a true freshman โฆ saw increased playing time throughout the season as part of the defensive line rotation โฆ totaled six tackles on the year to go along with a quarterback hurry โฆ all of his tackles came over six different games against Houston Baptist (9/12), Kansas State (10/3), West Virginia (10/24), Oklahoma (10/31), TCU (11/7) and Kansas (12/5) โฆ also shared a tackle for a loss in the season opener versus Houston Baptist โฆ lone quarterback hurry came against the Huskies.
