2017 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)
Appeared in eight games during lone season as a Red Raider … earned two starts at nickel back, which came at Houston (9/23) and Kansas (10/7) … finished with 14 tackles, including two that went for a loss … one of those tackles for a loss was a sack … picked off one pass while adding a pair of pass breakups in coverage … SEASON HIGHLIGHTS … began his Red Raider career with two tackles and an interception in the season opener versus Eastern Washington (9/2) … returned his interception 33 yards for a touchdown … marked the first interception returned for a touchdown by a Red Raider since Jah’Shawn Johnson did so at Kansas in 2015 … added a tackle in each of the other two non-conference games against Arizona State (9/16) and Houston … opened Big 12 play with a pass breakup against Oklahoma State (9/30) … had two tackles again in the road win over Kansas (10/7) … notched a season-high four tackles at West Virginia (10/14) … sacked West Virginia quarterback Will Grier for a 14-yard loss early in the second quarter … matched that total with four tackles against Iowa State … final outing of the season came at Oklahoma (10/28) … missed the final four games of the regular season as well as the Birmingham Bowl versus USF.
