Competed in six meets during a season which saw him claim the indoor school record in the pole vault ... won the pole vault at the Red Raider Invitational, Texas Tech Shootout and Matador Qualifier ... toppled the record at the Qualifier, where he cleared 18'-5.25" (5.62m) ... also went over 18 feet at the Red Raider Invitational with a mark of 18'-1.75" (5.53m) ... took bronze at the Big 12 Championships with a height of 17'-11.25" (5.47m).
2019 OUTDOOR
Returned from injury very strongly after no-heighting in his first two meets following rehab ... was runner-up at the Big 12 Championships with a season-best height of 17'-10.5" (5.45m) for the best outdoor conference finish of his career ... also went 5.45m at the Masked Rider Open to place second ... placed second in his first successful clearance of the spring at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout ... set the school record of 18'-8.25" (5.70m) at the NCAA Championships to claim seventh in the most competitive field in title meet history.
2019 INDOOR
Competed in one meet, clearing 16'-11.5" (5.17m) at the Corky Classic ... sat out the remainder of the season due to injury.
2018 OUTDOOR
Competed in seven meets … first successful mark earned him first place at the Texas Relays … took seventh at the Sun Angel Classic … won the pole vault at the Texas Tech Corky/Crofoot Shootout … placed third at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a season-best 5.38m/17’-7.75” … advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary.
2018 INDOOR
Vaulted in seven meets … finished top-two in all but one … began year with second-place finish at Corky Classic … first of two wins on the season came at the Red Raider Invitational … placed second at the Texas Tech Classic and Texas Tech Open … set PR of 5.50m/18’-0.5” to win Texas Tech Shootout … scored eight points with second-place mark of 5.39m/17’-8.25” at Big 12 Indoor Championships … tied PR of 5.50m/18’-0.5” to place ninth at NCAA Indoor Championships.
2017 OUTDOOR
Participated in a total of three meets ... cleared 5.20m/ 17'- 0.75" at the Arkansas Invitational ... sat out the rest of the season due to injury.
2016 SUMMER
Competed at the USATF Junior National Championships in the pole vault on June 24 ... finished fourth in the meet, opening at 5.10m/16-8.75 and clearing on his first attempt, then moving up to 5.20m/17-0.75 and earning a first attempt clearance before bowing out.
Finished 12th at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championships in the pole vault after clearing 5.15m/16-10.75, earning second team All-America honors ... cleared a personal-best 5.38m/17-7.75 to finish fifth overall and advance to Eugene ... entered the 2016 NCAA West Preliminaries with a mark of 5.35m/17-6.5 in the men's pole vault, which ranked 13th in the region ... that mark came en route to a fifth-place finish in at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships on May 13 ... has finished top five in all eight meets he's competed in this season ... matched his indoor PR at the Texas Relays, finishing third in the "C" section at 5.31m/17-5 ... followed it up with a first-place mark at the Wes Kittley Invitational the next week ... has improved in each of the last three meets, recording a new personal-best at the conference meet at 5.35m/17-6.5.
2016 INDOOR
Kicked his collegiate career off with a first-place finish at the Arkansas Invitational with a first-place finish in the pole vault after a clearance of 5.25m/17-2.75 ... improved with the next meet (Texas A&M Quadrangular) to a mark of 5.31m/17-5 ... entered the invitational section at the Tyson Invitational (Feb. 12) and posted a fourth-place finish while matching his PR of 5.31m/17-5 ... picked up another fourth-place mark at the Big 12 Indoor Championships after clearing 5.19m/17-0.25.

Three-time Texas State Champion ... junior season clearing 17'-8.5" in the state championship to break a myriad of records ... named by the Texas Track & Field Coaches Association as the Field Performer of the Year (2015) ... held the No. 3 US Indoor ranking his senior season ... earned New Balance Indoor (2015) and Outdoor (2014) All-America honors ... garnered Track & Field News All-America honors in 2014 and 2015 ... Youth No. 1 World Outdoor Rank and No. 2 Outdoor High School National Rank in 2014 ... Holds the 16-year-old (17'-6") and 17-year-old (17'-8.5") national records, as well as the junior class national record (17'-8.5") ... was the USATF Youth National Runner-Up in 2013.

Parents are Jeff and Kelly ... brother to Riley and Jaxson ... comes from a lineage of pole vaulters, father Jeff competed at Florida State and mother Kelly at Oklahoma ... plans to major in business marketing.
