Had a breakout sophomore campaign as he threw in nine meets ... PR'd in the discus in just his second outdoor meet at Tech, throwing 182'-5" (55.61m) at the Fearless Champion Open ... took eighth in a stacked field at the Texas Relays ... saw a PR a month later at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout, this one coming in the hammer after recording a toss of 112'-2" (34.18m) ... PR'd in his third event of the spring at the Masked Rider Open, landing a shot put of 39'-3.25" (11.97m) to place sixth ... advanced to the Big 12 Championships, where he scored five points thanks to a discus throw of 177'-4" (54.06m) ... advanced to the West Prelims for the first time in his career, where he placed 44th.
