Vaulted in six meets … opened year with fourth-place finish at UTSA Invitational thanks to a season-best mark of 4.97m/16’-3.5” … took fifth at ACU Wes Kittley Invitational … won the pole vault at the WT Classic & Multi with a 4.90m/16’-0.75”.
2018 Indoor
Vaulted in seven meets … placed fifth at Red Raider Invitational … took fourth at Texas Tech Classic … recorded a 4.99m/16’-4.5” at the Texas Tech Open … placed fifth at Texas Tech Shootout … highest finish and best mark came at Texas Tech Matador Qualifier when he vaulted a 5.00m/16’-4.75” to place third.
2017 OUTDOOR
Competed in six events for the Red Raiders ... finished top-10 in all six competitions, with three top-three finishes ... kicked off the season at the UTSA Invitational with a second-place finishing height of 4.80m/15-9 ... improved to a 4.85m/15-11 mark in his next two meets ... hit his lifetime-best at the 2017 Horned Frog Invitational where he cleared 5.06m/16-7.25 for second-place overall.
2017 INDOOR
Participated in five meets during the indoor season ... finished top-eight in four out of the five ... closed with a season-best at the Big 12 Track & Field Indoor Championship at 4.92m/16-1.75 for seventh-place and All-Big 12 honors.
TARLETON STATE
Carlton made major improvements from his freshman to sophomore year at Tarleton, improving his mark by an entire foot. Carlton had three first-place finishes in his last season at Tarleton State and cleared 16’ 0.75’’ to set a new personal-record… Carlton also had two first-place finishes in 2015.
MANSFIELD LEGACY HIGH SCHOOL
District champion in the pole vault in 2011, 2012 and 2013, clearing 15’ 9” as a sophomore… Field Event Athlete of the Year 2012-2013… Pole Vault PR: 15’ 9’’.

Son of Paul and Pam… brother to Kevin and Jessica… born in Burleson, Texas… graduated from Mansfield Legacy High School… majoring in Human Sciences.
