Threw the shot at eight meets, including the NCAA West Preliminary ... started season with a win at the ACU Wes Kittley Invitational ... took third at the Texas Relays ... was runner-up at Baylor's Michael Johnson Invitational ... went over 55 feet for the first time in her career at the Masked Rider Invite, going 55'-3.75" (16.86m) to PR and pick up the win ... scored six points for the women's team at the Big 12 Championships, finishing third with a top throw of 54'-8.75" (16.68m) ... qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary.
2018 INDOOR
Threw in eight meets ... started season with runner-up throw at Corky Classic with a 49'-10" (15.19m) ... won the Red Raider Invitational ... threw a season-best 50'-4.75" (15.36m) at the Texas Tech Classic ... also went over 50 feet again at the Big 12 Championships to place fifth and score four points.

Competed in a total of 10 meets during the outdoor season, including the Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Championship and the NCAA West Preliminaries ... opened up the season with a 15.21m/49-11 launch in the shot put, allowing her the first-place finish at the UTSA Invitational ... continued with second-place finishes at the Wes Kittley Invitational and Sun Angel Classic ... her next personal-best was at the Big 12 Track & Field Championship where she hit her career-best 15.44m/50-8 mark in the shot put, qualifying her for the preliminaries ... at the prelims, Onwukaife closed out her season in 40th with a throw of 14.56m/47-9.25.
