No. 21 Men's Tennis Set to Square Off at No. 30 Tulane

The Red Raiders are 4-0 in true road matches this season.
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The No. 21 Texas Tech men's tennis team finishes up its February slate and returns to the road at No. 30 Tulane on Sunday.
First serve is slated for 1 p.m. CT from the City Park Pepsi Tennis Center in New Orleans. The Red Raiders (12-3) have tucked away true road victories over Memphis and Virginia coupled with a pair of wins over Hawaii en route to a 4-0 mark on the season.
"Tulane will be another tough but exciting road test for us this weekend," Texas Tech head coach Brett Masi said. "We've had a solid week of practice leading up. Hopefully, we can continue that momentum from last weekend's win over Indiana to Sunday. Tulane is tough team from top to bottom, and our guys know that."
Texas Tech has secured a 54-29 singles record in dual matches sparked by 33 victories in 41 decisions between the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 positions.
Ilgiz Valiev will look to begin a new winning streak after having his seven-match run snapped against Indiana last time out. He has garnered an 11-3 with all of his 11 victories coming in straight sets.
Matheus Leite and Artem Kapshuk have chipped in 10-4 and 9-3 records, respectively. Leite has won nine of his last 11 outings and improved to 3-1 in three-set matches with a 6-1, 3-6, 7-5 triumph over Afonso Salgado of Indiana.
Texas Tech has relied on Tommy Mylnikov, Connor Curry and Alex Sendegeya to man the top three spots in the singles rotation. Mylikov tucked away his first ranked win on the season over IU's and No. 114 Raheel Manji last time out.
Doubles has been kind to the Red Raiders during the early part of the season with a 26-9 mark. Texas Tech has worked its way to 12 of 15 doubles points on the season. Curry and Sendegeya have won all three of their doubles decisions at the top of the lineup.
The Green Wave (4-3) have already faced one Big 12 opponent and battled then No. 11 Oklahoma State to a 4-3 decision over Feb. 4. Last time out, Tulane was handed a 4-3 loss by No. 39 Mississippi State on Friday. The Green Wave have a pair of ranked singles players in No. 24 Constantin Schmitz and No. 95 Tyler Schick.
