
Red Raiders begin road trip at UT Arlington

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Red Raiders are heading to Arlington, Texas to take on the UT Arlington Mavericks this Tuesday, February 20 at 2 p.m. at the UTA Tennis Center.
Tech recently went undefeated against the UTRGV Vaqueros and the UTSA Roadrunners at home to push its overall record to 5-3. The Red Raiders are led in singles by Reed Collier who boasts a 13-1 overall record and a 5-0 record in dual singles, all at court two. Next, there are three players with seven singles wins in Jonas Gundacker, Piotr Pawlak and Olle Wallin.
On the doubles end, Collier also leads with 10 wins while going 3-2 at the top court with teammate Gundacker. Both Pawlak and Sebastian Abboud follow with eight wins and seven wins, respectively. The duo of Pawlak and Abboud are undefeated on the season at 6-0 with a 2-0 record at court one, 3-0 record at court two and 1-0 record at court three. In addition, they got their first ranked doubles win of the season after beating the No. 27 pairing of Alan Magadan and Tomas Pinho of UTSA, 6-4.

The UT Arlington Mavericks are coming into the match at an even 4-4 on the year. Their four wins have come against Prairie View A&M (4-1), Southeastern Oklahoma State (6-1), Tyler JC (4-0) and New Mexico State (4-0).
