Attended Chandler-Gilbert Community College in Chandler, Arizona under coach Russell Luce … he was awarded All-Regional and All-Conference honors after recording a 3.60 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 30 innings pitched through six games … his four conference starts were the most in the conference … chose Tech over Arizona State.
MESQUITE HIGH SCHOOL
Played for Mesquite High School in Gilbert, Arizona under coach Jeff Holland … recorded a 3.68 ERA, seven wins and 58 strikeouts in 51.1 innings pitched … was named to All-State team … also named to 2018 Perfect Game Preseason All-American and All-Region Teams and two All-Tournament teams for his performance in the 2017 Perfect Game Fall National Championship and 2017 WWBA World Championship … two-time WWBA Champion after winning 2017 18U WWBA West Memorial Day Classic and 2017 Perfect Game Fall National Championship … nationally ranked 276th overall and 106th for right-handed pitchers … ranked seventh overall and second for right-handed pitchers in Arizona coming out of high school … played summer ball for the Arizona Diamondback scout team under coach Rex Gonzales.
