A powerful reserve catcher/designated hitter that started all 19 games for the Red Raiders and earned Freshman All-America honors … helped Tech go 16-3 during the shortened 2020 season, climbing at one point to as high as No. 1 in the polls for the first time since 1997 … as a true freshman, led the Big 12 with six home runs and 27 RBI and also paced the Red Raiders with a .677 slugging percentage … hit .308 (20-for-65) on the year with four doubles and a triple to go with his six home runs … drew 17 free passes with 12 walks and a team-high five hit by pitches to give him a .440 on base percentage … one of three Red Raiders to score 20 runs for the year … recorded five multi-hit games, including a season-high three hits against Houston Baptist (Feb. 15) … six multi-RBI games,
