HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Hawley High School, located about 15 minutes north of Abilene, Texas … a two-way athlete for the Bearcats … starred at both wide receiver and as a defensive back for Hawley, one of the top Class 2A programs in the state … helped push Hawley to the 2A Division I state championship his junior year, the first in school history … had a key interception in the win over Refugio, stopping a trick play in the process … followed by leading Hawley back to the regional finals his senior season … a two-time all-district 4-2A first-team honoree as both a wide receiver and defensive back … combined for 2,256 receiving yards and 3,221 all-purpose yards over his four varsity seasons … caught 149 passes for 2,256 yards and 27 touchdowns as a wide receiver with his best season coming as a senior with 51 receptions for 740 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior … averaged 32.6 yards over 27 kickoff returns over his career with four touchdowns … made 159 tackles defensively over his career to go along with nine interceptions, three forced fumbles and 15 pass breakups … best season defensively came as a junior with 73 stops, four interceptions and two pass breakups … followed with 35 tackles, an interception and two pass breakups as a senior … multi-sport athlete as a member of the Hawley basketball and track and field programs … member of the 4x200-meter relay team that finished fifth at the state meet his sophomore year in 2022 … received his first collegiate offer by the Texas Tech staff … later became the second commit for Texas Tech’s 2024 class … consensus three-star prospect by the likes of Rivals, ESPN, 247Sports and On3 … was classified as an “athlete” by both On3 and Rivals … member of the Texas top 100 by Rivals, ranking No. 74 among prospects in the state … was also the No. 26 athlete in the country by Rivals … considered the No. 34 athlete in the country by On3 … graduated early, Dec. 20, 2023, and joined the Red Raiders in the spring of 2024.
