Redshirted the 2019 season while a true freshman at McMurry University in Abilene … did not see any game action ... transferred to Texas Tech prior to the start of the spring 2020 semester.

Attended Rider High School in Wichita Falls, Texas … played most of his high school snaps at linebacker … integral part of a team that was regional champions and State Semi-Finalists … earned various awards during his prep career that included All-District, All-State, Red River Defensive MVP, Rider overall MVP and Academic All-State … totaled 189 tackles and 18 tackles for loss … was a three sport athlete, participating in football, powerlifting and track.

Joshua Rodriguez … son of Joseph and Ann Rodriquez … has two older sisters, Katie and Nicole and two younger brothers, Jeremiah and Jacob … his hobbies include playing ping pong and golf in his spare time ... a biology major at Texas Tech.
