2017 SEASON (FRESHMAN)
One of four true freshmen to see playing time on the season … appeared in three games as a place kicker … made debut in the season opener against Eastern Washington (9/2), connecting on all eight extra-point attempts … followed by going 1-for-1 on PATs and then 1-of-3 on field goal attempts several weeks later at Houston (9/23) … successful field goal against the Cougars came on a 32-yarder that gave Texas Tech an early 3-0 lead in the first quarter … missed lone PAT try in final appearance of the season against Iowa State (10/21).
HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Allen High School in Allen, Texas … served as Allen’s primary field goal kicker, kickoff specialist and punter his senior year … had successful field goals over 50 yards as a senior … concluded his senior year 10-of-11 on field goal attempts … had five successful tries of over 40 yards … was a perfect 44-of-44 on point-after-attempts (PATs) … named to the Associated Press Sports Editors Class 6A All-State team as a senior … garnered first team All-District 6-6A honors as both a kicker and punter as well … attended the Chris Sailer kicking camp prior to his senior year … won the individual competition at the prestigious camp that featured many college-bound kickers from the state of Texas … was also a member of the school’s soccer program for two years before concentrating on football full-time.
