2017 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)
Appeared in 12 games as a sophomore, mainly on special teams โฆ recorded six tackles on the year, all of which came on special teams โฆ ranked second on the team with six special teams tackles โฆ posted a tackle against Arizona State (9/16), Oklahoma (10/28), Kansas State (11/4) and Texas (11/24) โฆ notched a season-high two tackles at West Virginia (10/14) โฆ moved to linebacker prior to the start of the season.
2016 SEASON (FRESHMAN)
One of three true freshmen defensive backs who saw action during 2016 campaign โฆ appeared in 11 games, missing only the Iowa State contest (11/19) โฆ saw time in the secondary but really shined on special teams โฆ was one of Texas Techโs top tacklers on its punt and kickoff units โฆ bulk of his 13 tackles (all solo) came via special teams โฆ also recorded a pair of quarterback hurries on blitzes โฆ SEASON HIGHLIGHTS โฆ made Red Raider debut with three tackles in season opener versus Stephen F. Austin (9/3) โฆ recognized as the coaching staffโs Special Teams Player of the Week following win over the Lumberjacks โฆ had two tackles the following week at Arizona State (9/10) โฆ posted two tackles in three other games as well: versus West Virginia (10/15), at TCU (10/19) and the neutral-site win over Baylor (11/25) โฆ recorded his two quarterback hurries in Big 12 opener against Kansas (9/29) as well as road win at TCU.
