2017 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)
Appeared in all 13 games as a sophomore while making three starts … was the primary backup at the “X” receiver spot … hauled in nine passes on the year for 109 yards and two touchdowns … also rushed twice for 19 yards … saw times on several of Texas Tech’s special teams units as well … SEASON HIGHLIGHTS … opened the year with two receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown against Eastern Washington (9/2) … touchdown came on a 22-yard strike from McLane Carter early in the fourth quarter … marked the second touchdown of his career … snapped a career high with four catches against Kansas (10/7) … recorded 76 yards through the air against the Jayhawks, five shy of his career high ... helped give the Red Raiders a 21-0 lead in the first quarter with a 37-yard touchdown grab from Nic Shimonek … also rushed once for five yards in the rout of Kansas … his five yards on the ground helped him match his career high with 81 all-purpose yards ... caught one pass in each of the next two games against West Virginia (10/14) and Iowa State (10/21) … featured in the rushing game against versus Baylor (11/11) with a 14-yard carry, the longest of his career … closed the season with a six-yard reception in the Birmingham Bowl against USF.

Appeared in five games during his first season in scarlet and black … saw action as both a receiver and on special teams … made five catches for 124 yards and a touchdown … bulk of his yardage came on a 81-yard touchdown strike in season finale against Baylor (11/25) … gave the Red Raiders a 27-7 lead on what was the longest offensive play of the season … caught one pass for 16 yards in season opener against Stephen F. Austin (9/3) … recorded a career-high three receptions against Oklahoma (10/22) … totaled 27 yards through the air against the Sooners … was part of a Red Raider offense that set a new program record for total offense … also inserted into both the West Virginia (10/15) and Texas (11/5).
