2018 SEASON (SENIOR)
Finished his long and illustrious Red Raider career with a strong senior season … closed the year as Texas Tech’s second-leading receiver after appearing in all 12 games, including nine starts … one of three Red Raiders to average at least 60 yards per game … hauled in 62 passes overall for 804 yards and four touchdowns, all of which ranked as his highest single-season totals of his career … became a reliable option as 40 of his 62 receptions went for a first down or a touchdown … caught 12 passes on third down alone that went for a first down … went over 100 yards twice and 80 yards four times overall … IN THE NCAA RANKINGS: finished 54th in the FBS for receptions per game (5.2), 68th for receiving yards per game (67.0) and 80th in total receiving yards … IN THE BIG 12 RANKINGS: ranked ninth in the league in receptions per game, 12th in receiving yards per game, 12th in receiving touchdowns and 13th in receiving yards … averaged 5.3 receptions per game in league play, which ranked ninth overall … SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: began the year by catching four passes for 62 yards and a touchdown in the season opener versus Ole Miss (9/1) in Houston … touchdown came on a 14-yard strike from Alan Bowman late in the second quarter … was the first touchdown pass of Bowman’s career … snagged three balls for 40 yards and scored another touchdown in a blowout win at home against Lamar (9/8) … snapped his career highs with seven catches for 120 yards in the non-conference finale against Houston (9/15) … broke his career high for receptions again a week later with eight catches for 79 yards in road win at Oklahoma State (9/22) … eclipsed the 100-yard mark again versus West Virginia (9/29) after hauling in six passes for 105 yards … notched four catches for 78 yards and a touchdown at TCU (10/11) … touchdown strike was on a 62-yard bomb from Jett Duffey midway through the third quarter … marked the second-longest passing play by the Red Raiders on the season … once again caught eight balls against Kansas (10/20), resulting in 54 yards … caught six passes for 70 yards at Iowa State (10/27) … racked up eight catches for 84 yards on Senior Night against Texas (11/10) … finished his Red Raider career with five catches for 89 yards and a touchdown against Baylor (11/24) in Arlington … capped a successful opening drive by catching a 54-yard touchdown strike from McLane Carter … AWARDS AND HONORS: nominee for the Burlsworth Trophy, given to the nation’s top player who began his career as a walk-on.
2017 SEASON (SENIOR)
Returned from injury to play in 13 games of his senior season … saw significant time on offense as well as on special teams … finished the year with seven catches for 58 yards … also notched three tackles and a blocked kick on special teams … SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: caught two passes for 35 yards in season opener against Eastern Washington (9/2) … recorded a tackle on kickoff duty and blocked a crucial punt two weeks later at Arizona State (9/16) … blocked punt set up a touchdown that gave the Red Raiders a 35-17 lead just before halftime … marked the first blocked punt by a Red Raider since Kerry Hyder got his hand on an Oklahoma State punt in 2013 … earned Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week honors following the game … recorded special teams tackles against both Oklahoma (10/28) and in the Birmingham Bowl against USF (12/23) … also caught a pass for four yards against the Sooners … recorded similar short-yardage catches earlier in the year at Houston (9/23) and in the Big 12 opener versus Oklahoma State (9/30) … both catches in the two games resulted in six yards … caught a pair of passes versus TCU (11/18) for seven yards … AWARDS AND HONORS: became first non-kicker since Jakeem Grant in 2015 to be named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week on Sept. 18.
2016 SEASON (JUNIOR)
Saw action in first three games of the year before an injury ended his season … caught six passes for 54 yards and a touchdown on the season, all of which that came in season opener versus Stephen F. Austin (9/3) … his 54 receiving yards marked a career high … his nine-yard touchdown catch from Nic Shimonek, meanwhile, marked the first of his career.
2015 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)
Played in nine games and made five starts, compiling eight catches and 111 yards ... made first career start in season opener against Sam Houston State (9/5) ... recorded first career catch against the Bearkats ... finished with three receptions for 54 yards ... also saw action against UTEP, (9/12) Arkansas (9/19) and Baylor (10/3)... earned second start of the season against Iowa State ... caught three passes for 49 yards against the Cyclones (10/10) ... inserted into the starting lineup once again at Kansas (10/17) ... finished with two receptions for eight yards against the Jayhawks ... recovered crucial onside kicks in back-to-back games against Kansas State (11/14) and Texas (11/26), both of which sealed Red Raider victories.
