Played in all 12 games during his senior campaign … served as the primary return man for both the kickoff and punt return units … also saw significant playing time as a receiver, hauling in 10 passes for 90 yards and a touchdown … averaged 25.2 yards per kick return, totaling 782 yards on 31 returns … brought back 13 punts as well, averaging 9.5 yards per return … marked the highest average by a Red Raider since Austin Zouzalik in 2012 … recorded three games with at least 100 all-purpose yards … had six kickoff returns of 40 yards or longer and one punt that return that went that distance … IN TEXAS TECH RECORD BOOK: his 782 yards via kick returns and 31 total kick returns ranked fifth all-time on the single-season chart … IN NCAA RANKINGS: finished the regular season ranked fourth in combined kick return yards and sixth in total kick returns … was also 26th in the FBS for kick return average … IN BIG 12 RANKINGS: was second in the conference in yards per kick return … finished first in the conference in kickoff return yards and total kickoff returns ... his punt return average also ranked fourth in the league … averaged 25.7 yards per kick return during league play, which ranked second overall ...
