2020 SEAS0N (SOPHOMORE)
Utilized in four games as a sophomore, all as a punt returner … served as the Red Raiders’ punt returner over the final four games of the season … returned nine punts overall for 52 yards, averaging 5.8 yards … best performance of the year came in the season finale against Kansas (12/5) where he returned four punts for 52 yards, which included a 42-yard return … marked the longest return of his career and the longest by a Red Raider since De’Quan Bowman escaped for 49 yards early in the 2018 season against Lamar … return set up a Texas Tech touchdown on its opening drive.
2019 SEASON (FRESHMAN)
Appeared in seven games as a true freshman, mainly as Texas Tech’s primary punt returner … led the team with seven punt returns on the season, averaging 6.0 yards an attempt … longest return came via a 22-yard scamper against TCU … marked one of two punt returns to go over 20 yards on the season for the Red Raiders … lone carry of the season came against UTEP (9/7), resulting in one yard.
HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Hutto High School in Hutto, Texas … multi-purpose back who played a variety of positions on the offensive side of the ball … earned District 13-5A MVP honors for his efforts during his senior campaign by the Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) … was also appointed as a second team All-State member … rushed for at least 900 yards in each of his two full seasons on varsity ... recorded 1,724 all-purpose yards and 22 touchdowns as a junior en route to being recognized as the District 19-5A Utility Player of the Year ... helped push Hutto to 43 points per game that season and an 11-2 record ... followed with 1,874 all-purpose yards and 23 touchdowns as a senior ... made his mark as a slot receiver with 991 total receiving yards in his high school career … three-star recruit according to 247Sports ... listed as the No. 20 all-purpose back in the country by the publication ... also a member of the school’s baseball and track and field programs.
