Attended Amarillo High School in the Texas panhandle โฆ played football, baseball and competed in track and field during prep career โฆ helped push the Sandies to a 9-3 overall record and an appearance in the Class 6A Division I area round his senior season โฆ was a three-year starter, earning first team All-District 2-5A honors as a senior โฆ was previously a second team All-District 2-5A recipient as a junior โฆ totaled 23 touchdowns and 1,712 rushing yards throughout his high school career โฆ had 13 rushing touchdowns his senior season alone โฆ recognized for work in the classroom as an Academic All-State honoree, Superintendent Scholar recipient and member of the National Honor Society.
